Oracle Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management, is an out-of-the-box data transformation tool that feeds source-level financial data to consolidation, reporting, planning, and analytical applications.

More than a data translation tool, FDM is a packaged application for Financial Data movement from any data source to any Hyperion application provides these Purpose:

  • Mapping and validation tool for financial data
  • Adapters for data loads to HFM, Essbase/Planning etc.
  • Increased Transparency (interface, drillback, Controls, reports)
  • Operated by Business users rather than IT
  • SOX Compliance

FDM provides a uniform data collection process for all reporting units within an organization.

FDM features adapters that enable it to integrate with Oracle's Hyperion Enterprise , Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Fusion Edition (Financial Management), Oracle Essbase (Essbase), and Oracle Hyperion Planning, Fusion Edition (Planning).

FDM can also be used to load data into other financial consolidation and analytical applications.

FDM includes two primary products, a Windows client (Workbench) and a Web client .

FDM Workbench is a Windows client that can be installed on a PC or on a terminal server. Workbench provides access to the application setup, integration, and development features of FDM and should be used only by administrators.

FDM Workbench basic functionality:

  • Systems integration
  • Script creation and maintenance
  • Report creation and maintenance
  • Application importing and exporting
  • Batch processor setup and monitoring

Web Client :The FDM Web client consists of four components:

  1. Web server :The components enable users to access FDM applications from the Internet or from a corporate intranet. The Web-based interface provides access to all end-user features and most administrator features of FDM.
  2. Application Server :FDM Application Server enables FDM to execute resource-intensive tasks on one or more application servers, instead of on the Web server
  3. Load Balance Manager :FDM Load Balance Manager enables FDM to manage the application servers that execute resource-intensive tasks. Installing Load Balance Manager on the first application server is recommended.
  4. Task Manager :FDM Task Manager runs scheduled tasks (FDM scripts) at specified intervals (daily, weekly, or monthly). You can also use Task Manager to add, modify, and delete tasks.

Oracle Mobile iProcurement for Oracle E-Business Suite

Oracle E-Business Suite mobile apps enable users to perform needed tasks or take action on Oracle E-Business Suite transactions from mobile devices, such as iOS smartphones.

The Oracle Mobile iProcurement for Oracle E-Business Suite app enables requesters to monitor their requisitions and take action on the go.

Using this app, as requesters, you can:

  • Track your requisitions for approval and delivery status
  • View requisitions, approvers, lines, and shipments
  • Monitor alerts for approvals, rejections, returns, and shipment delays
  • Collaborate in transaction context using device features such as e-mail, phone, and text

To use this app, you must be a user of Oracle iProcurement, with mobile services configured on the server-side by your administrator.

EBS Users can download these apps from the Apple App Store. To use the apps, users must be licensed for the base products, with mobile services configured on the Oracle E-Business Suite server.

To find Oracle E-Business Suite mobile apps, search for the keywords "Oracle America EBS" in the Apple App Store.

  • Oracle Mobile Approvals for Oracle E-Business Suite (for Purchase Order approvals)

There is slight difference in Iprocurement and Procurement Mobile Apps

iProcurement Mobile Apps shows the requisition details which include status of requisitions, requisition lines, shipment, receipt information, and person card details. Also, the PO line and shipment associated to the requisition, whereas Procurement Mobile Apps shows Purchase Order (PO) information along with approval status.

  • iProcurement is available in Mobile Apps starting in 12.1.3
    • You need patch for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2
      • Patch 20048436:R12.PRC_PF.C: PRC - 12.2 Consolidated Patch For Mobile Applications Foundation V2.1
    • You need patch for Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3
      • Patch 20048948:R12.PRC_PF.B: PRC - 12.1.3 Consolidated Patch For Mobile Applications Foundation V2.1
  • Currently, Oracle E-Business Mobile Apps is available in English only
  • iProcurement Mobile Apps is compatible with iOS 7.0 and iOS 8.0

Limitation of Oracle Mobile iProcurement

  • There are some restrictions and conditions of the data shown in Mobile App for requisitions
    • Internal requisitions and contingent reqquisitions are not available in Mobile Apps.
    • Also, requisitions in incomplete or cancel are not supported at that time.
    • Summary page shows need by date only if all the lines have the same date.
    • When the line is placed in a PO, it shows the shipment with received or not received status.
    • The status of not received, partially received, and fully received are available only in Mobile App.

This is available at no additional cost for licensed users of the base applications.
